Our indoor 5-a-side team was in action on Thursday evening at Park view school. We played three games across the course of the tournament with the outright winner progressing to the next round in March. In what were fast and furious games played over six minutes, we narrowly lost the first game 1-0 to Cestria before defeating Stanley St Josephs 5-0 and Newker 3-1. In what was a tight finish to the competition, we missed out on winning the tournament by one point and had to settle for runners-up. The boys were fantastic competitors all evening and despite naturally being disappointed, were very gracious in defeat.
